By encouraging young artists to be part of the team she has created a path to the future. Today ROCKETBUSTER's internship program is thriving and Nevena jokes about wanting to teach a Sushi Chef to cut leather.....but seriously , everyone at the shop knows she's not kidding!
Rocketbuster still only make about 400 pairs of boots a year with a wait time of 4 to 8 months. The customers are a growing family of celebrities , C.E.O.'s and eccentrics alike. Bosslady says, "the only thing our customers have in common is that none of them are boring and they all appreciate something unique that's been made by hand!"
To end this Tall TEXAS Tale with a big finish Marty, Nevena, Trip and the whole gang at ROCKETBUSTER encourage y'all to stop by if you're in the neighborhood ...tour the shop and get a pic with the Guinness Book of World Records "Worlds Largest Boots". The neighborhood has changed a lot over the years and now Rocketbuster's downtown headquarters is centered amongst stylish eateries, hotels and shopping . They've come a long way in 30 years and who knows where they'll be in 30 more , but they're shooting for the stars!
